Sensorio is open and now in residence.

Bruce Munro: Light at Sen­so­rio, includ­ing both Field of Light and Light Tow­ers, is now open and will con­tin­ue in res­i­dence. Tick­ets may be pur­chased in advance through Jan­u­ary 6th, 2024! Addi­tion­al dates will be released as we approach the end of the year. 

Live music, food and bev­er­age, local wine, beer and dis­tilled spir­its avail­able onsite dur­ing event hours. Hours of oper­a­tion are based on the sun­set time of each month.

Ter­race patrons enjoy pri­or­i­ty entry at open­ing, and can arrive any­time dur­ing open hours. Ter­race tick­ets include exclu­sive access to the Pri­vate Ter­race with guar­an­teed seat­ing, pri­vate restrooms, Airstream bar, fire­side tables, heaters, and the best views of the exhi­bi­tion. Seat­ing place­ment is on a first-come first-serve basis. Includes 1 Drink Tick­et — Your choice of our house red wine, house white wine, beer of the night, or a non-alco­holic bev­er­age. Chil­dren 3 years and up require at least a Ter­race Expe­ri­ence tick­et to join.

Ter­race Expe­ri­ence + Plat­ter includes one Ter­race Expe­ri­ence tick­et, plus your choice of either a char­cu­terie or cru­dité plat­ter. Each plat­ter can serve up to two peo­ple. Price includes all applic­a­ble sales tax. Sea­son­al veg­gies are sub­ject to change.

Ter­race Tick­et sales CLOSE 48 hours pri­or to the event. In the event that the Ter­race has capac­i­ty still avail­able, upgrades will be made avail­able at the door. Please ask Box Office dur­ing check-in for the most cur­rent­ly availability.

      Fea­tured in The New York Times as #6 in ​“50 Places to Vis­it,” Light at Sen­so­rio fea­tures two instal­la­tions by inter­na­tion­al­ly acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. Field of Light is a mul­ti-acre walk-through expe­ri­ence, Munro’s largest art­work in the world, recent­ly expand­ed to more than 100,000 stemmed spheres lit by fiber optics, gen­tly illu­mi­nat­ing the land­scape in sub­tle blooms of mor­ph­ing col­or that describe the undu­lat­ing land­scape. The adja­cent Light Tow­ers cel­e­brates Paso Rob­les’ exten­sive wine coun­try envi­rons, fea­tur­ing 69 tow­ers com­posed of more than 17,000 wine bot­tles, illu­mi­nat­ed with glow­ing optic fibers whose col­ors morph to an inspir­ing musi­cal score. Pow­ered by solar, these stun­ning exhi­bi­ts cap­ti­vate vis­i­tors, invit­ing them to engage with the land­scape and envi­ron­ment through an ethe­re­al light based and sculp­tur­al expe­ri­ence. Smith­son­ian Mag­a­zine has called Munro’s art ​“stun­ning,” while The Guardian noted ​“This is art you feel, rather than art you view.”

      The Future of Sensorio

      Sen­so­rio, the inter­sec­tion of art, tech­nol­o­gy and nature, was designed as a des­ti­na­tion for enter­tain­ment, explo­ration, med­i­ta­tion, adven­ture, and delight. It hon­ors the nat­ur­al topog­ra­phy of the land­scape, offer­ing vis­i­tors amus­ing, musi­cal, and kinet­ic expe­ri­ences. The Cen­tral Cal­i­for­nia des­ti­na­tion launch­ed in May 2019 with Field of Light, and now expands with the pre­mière of Light Tow­ers in 2021. Future attrac­tions at Sen­so­rio will include addi­tion­al art exhibits, as well as a hotel and con­fer­ence center.
